We have good news to share with you!
CLASS has been requesting a left turn during daytime hours for several years. Beginning Jan 25th, 2024 the FAA will institute a daytime OAK departure “OAK 6” which means that the planes leaving OAK during daytime (>7AM) will no longer head straight out but rather make a gentle 6-degree turn to the left (towards the center of the bay) after reaching 500 ft or more of altitude. This left turn will help to lower the noise and pollutants experienced by Bay Farm Island Residents.

Just saw this after I had posted. Let’s see how this will affect us. Keeping my fingers crossed. Although, maybe this is just a bone the airport is tossing us, until this expansion goes into play. I don’t trust them at all. But, we’ll take what we can get for now. TY
Should they make a left-turn as well during nighttime? Or are they already doing it without my being aware of it?
